Hotel La Rose,
in the heart of Railroad Square, is surrounded by excellent
shopping, wonderful
wineries for which Sonoma County is famous,
beautiful
parks and fine dining.
Having survived the great earthquake of 1906, the building in
which Hotel La Rose was built is one of four basalt block
buildings that remain the Historic Foundation of Santa Rosa's
Railroad Square District. Located at Fifth and Wilson, Hotel La
Rose is ideally situated. We are just a short walk to Fourth
Street, the colorful heart of this busy
shopping and
dining
center.
Early in the 20th century, the depot was a vital link between
the Northwestern Pacific and intra-county Petaluma and Santa
Rosa Electric railroads. In 1907 Hotel La Rose was built
directly across the street from the busy depot to serve Sonoma
County's bustling transportation hub. Now though, you'll enjoy a
quiet night's rest; both freight and passenger trains are no
longer running.
Continue
the tradition and make Hotel La Rose your jumping off
point for the best of what Sonoma County has to offer.
